Our 2016/17 Syndicates Are Now Open for Membership And We Also Have Shares Available in Individual Horses

01 September, 2016

Our 2016/17 Syndicates are now open for membership and I very much

welcome queries from anyone who might be interested in joining.

It's an exciting time of year as we begin the process of adding new horses to

our team for next season. In recent months I've been working hard on

preparation for the upcoming yearling sales. I've travelled to stud farms

assessing stallions to see which ones I want to be on the right side of, and

have also been studying the sales catalogues till the print has almost been

worn off the pages! I'll be attending all of the upcoming yearling sales in

September and October to further assess the horses and to identify new stars

for next searson.

I'll be aiming to build on the tremenduous success we've had for our syndicate horses during the current season. At this time last year I purchased 3 yearlings relatively cheaply for the Straight To Victory Syndicate. The first of those to run was Mister Trader who won the season opener at the Curragh. He then went on to finish 2nd to this year's top 2yo Caravaggio in the Marble Hill Stakes (Listed). I purchased Mister Trader for €15,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sales. The second to run was Hit The Bid who won the Group 3 Curragh Stakes. I purchased him for 40,000 Guineas at the Tattersalls Book 2 Sale in Newmarket.  The third is a lovely horse by Paco Boy who I'm looking forward to seeing make his debut before the end of the season. I've no doubt he's the type of horse to achieve further success for the syndicate. I purchased him for 30,000 Guineas at the Tattersalls Book 2 Sale.  I'm thrilled for the syndicate. In addition to being great supporters of the yard they are a fantastic group who love the sport and really appreciate the journey we're on with the horses.

We have syndicate options to suit all budgets with shares available from €2,000 to €25,000. Nothing else to pay after that. The syndicates will own thoroughbred yearlings to be purchased at the public auctions held in September and October 2016. The horses will be purchased for approximately 65% of the total syndicate funds.

The upfront payment by syndicate members covers the purchase of the horses and all costs associated with training the horses for the following 12 months. This includes:

  • Training Fees

  • Veterinary Fees

  • Farrier Fees

  • HRI Syndicate Registration Costs

  • Entry Fees to Races

  • Transfer of Horses To/From Races

  • Curragh Training Ground Fees

  • No hidden costs or management fees

The horses will race during the 2017 season. The syndicate will be terminated at the end of 12 months and all funds distributed equally among the members. The total funds available for distribution among members will be:

  • Funds from sale of the syndicate horses

  • Balance of funds in the syndicate’s HRI account and bank account.

Throughout the 12 months members will receive

  • Regular updates on our App & via email

  • Photos & Videos of the horses each month

  • Visits to the stables

  • Days out at the races

  • Quarterly accounts

The syndicate agreement will be registered with Horse Race Ireland (HRI), the administrators of horse racing in Ireland. The agreement is consistent with HRI best practice guidelines to ensure the transparency and smooth functioning of the syndicate.

We also have shares available in individual horses. Please feel free to get in touch anytime for a no obligatons chat.

Kind Regards,
