Enhanteresse Lands Gambe on Her Debut

We were delighted to see the classy Enchanteresse make a very promising debut at Fairyhouse today.
As the market suggested (backed from 33/1 to 7/2) we were confident she would be good enough to make a winning debut. Her homework against some reliable yardsticks has been exceptional. Despite running a little green today she quickened up well to win going away in the closing stages.
I feel there is a massive amount of improvement to come with this filly this season and particularly next season when she matures more fully. She has tons of early speed and will also get trips beyond a mile. Leigh gave her a lovely ride and is a great man to have on your side on these occasions.
While the filly showed us a lot last year I felt she was weak and so gave her time to develop. Hopefully, that patience will pay off as we go forward with her now. We'll look for a suitable listed race for her over 7f or a mile as her next assignment.
She is a half sister to our reliable servant Grey Danube, a 6 time winner between 5f and 7f, who is the top rated All-Weather horse in Ireland. I bought her out of a field for EUR5,000.
She gave us a fantastic thrill today and I'm very much looking forward to stepping her up during the coming months.
