Real Force pulling clear to win at Cork on 8th April 2023
Great start to the new flat season for our team at Cork on 8th April. The day saw our first 2 runners of the season and they registered a win in a quality handicap and also a 3rd in the listed race.
Real Force was an impressive winner on seasonal debut in the "SP or Better Guaranteed With Tote Handicap" (0-95) over 5 furlongs under a nice ride from Yudish Geerdharry.
Just over an hour earlier, Pretty Rebel ran a lovely race on her seasonal debut under champion Colin Keane to be a close up 3rd in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Cork Stakes (Listed) over 6 furlongs.
Both horses are owned by Gerard O'Leary's Lance Bloodstock Limited. I was particularly delighted to see the 2 horses run so well for Ger. We have a long family association and great friendship. Ger sent me a lovely team of horses for the current season and I am most appreciative to have them. He enjoys being closely involved with his horses and we work very well together. It's great to see him enjoying the journey with the horses and hopefully this is the first of many memorable days.
