Our team were back in the winners enclosure again today when You Owe Me Money was an impressive winner of the "Save 33% Buying Tickets Online Handicap" over 1 mile at Gowran Park for Ger (O'Leary).
She's a lovely mare who deserved a change of luck today. Her previous run was at Cork where she appeared to be coming with a winning run but was impeded at a crucial stage. She recovered well and showed great resolution to be a fast finishing 3rd on that occasion.
Today she got a lovely ride from Dean Curran who is a talented young rider and is great value for his 7lb claim. He gave her a nice patient ride in mid-field before switching her to the far side in the straight to make their challenge. She quickened up very nicely and stayed on strongly to the line to record a well deserved victory for all concerned.
Things have fallen into place for her this season and we'll look forward to running her over similar distances again, particularly when there is a little ease in the ground.
We have a fantastic team at home, of both riders and yard staff, and it's great to see all the excellent work being rewarded with successes on the racecourse. Many thanks to all for a great job done again.
