Low Latency Lives Up To His Name in Impressive Maiden Victory

Classy Exceed and Excel 3yo colt Low Latency certainly lived up to his name when quickening away in impressive style to win the Irish EBF Maiden over 6 furlongs at Fairyhouse this evening.

I don't think I've ever had a horse as unlucky as he has been in his 3 runs prior to today with different things going wrong. Leigh gave him a super ride and this was more like the horse we see at home. We loved this horse from the moment I bought him at Tattersalls Book 2. We've some quality yard sticks at home and this lad has been working to at least Group 3 level, so coming here this evening we were quite confident of a win.

As a son of Exceed and Excel it's no surprise that Low Latency has enough speed to win over 5 or 6 furlongs, but already we see in his homework that 7 furlongs (or possibly further) is also well within his capabilities. He probably gets that from his dam's side, who is by Galileo. Next stop is likely to be the Belgrave Stakes (Listed) on Irish Derby Day at the Curragh (1st July).

Very much looking forward to the future with this horse. He's very exciting. Many thanks to the team for a great job done by all.
